William is a public affairs specialist with 14 years' experience and a genuine specialty in the digital economy and technology projects.
As a Senior Media and Digital Economy Policy Adviser for a Shadow Minister in the Federal Opposition, he advised on GenAI, AI, FinTech, technology, cyber security, quantum computing and space.
He also assisted the Shadow Minister with collaboration with industry, the government of the day, and the crossbench in the Federal Parliament.
Earlier in his career, William spent 12 years working as a Senior Media and Policy Adviser in the NSW Government, including with the Minister for Customer Service and Digital Government. He played a lead role in the communications campaigns for several successful technology projects such as the NSW FuelCheck app and the NSW Digital Driver Licence.
He has worked across multiple portfolios at a NSW and Federal level including Consumer Affairs, Property, Finance, Innovation and Better Regulation, Aboriginal Affairs, Education, Ageing and Disability, giving him a broad and flexible platform from which to design and execute public affairs strategies.
In 2022, he co-founded Henry’s Wish - a charitable organisation which supports families which have experienced the loss of a pregnancy or baby.
